Kai Bernau's contemporary take on Granjon's Renaissance serifs, with Text and Display optical sizes for books, editorial and elegant brand work.

About

A contemporary Garalde by Kai Bernau, with Ilya Ruderman and Irene Vlachou on the Cyrillic and Greek. Lyon reinterprets Robert Granjon's sixteenth-century French Renaissance serifs in a calm, modern voice. First released as a text face, the family was later extended with a Display optical size for headline work. Weights run from Light through to Black with matching italics, including a Lyon Text Regular No 2 cut for tighter text settings. Sits in book design, long-form editorial and luxury brand identity work where you want a quiet, classical seriousness.
