An expansive serif system from Christian Schwartz and Paul Barnes with a long collaborator list, originating during work towards The Guardian's 2005 redesign (then named Hacienda) and finished for Mark Porter and Simon Esterson's redesign of Publico in Lisbon. Seven sub-families span Banner, Banner Condensed and Banner X Condensed for display, Headline and Headline Condensed for mastheads, Text for body, and Text Mono for tabular and code-adjacent work. Shares the skeleton of the Guardian typeface, making it a natural serif companion for newspapers, magazines and large editorial identities.
