Designed for the Kativik School Board in Nunavik, this free family spans Latin and Inuktitut syllabics across 10 styles with matched text colour between the two scripts.

About

Commissioned by the Kativik School Board, the only school board in Nunavik, the family was built to serve communities where Inuktitut is the first language of instruction alongside French and English. Étienne Aubert Bonn developed the design with input from the school board and local communities to ensure legibility across both scripts, with particular care taken to match the visual weight of Latin and syllabic text set side by side. The full family of 10 styles runs from Light to Black with italics throughout and is freely available to broaden access to quality Inuktitut syllabic typography.

Classification

A clean, modern sans-serif designed for dual-script use across Latin and Inuktitut syllabics, with humanist proportions optimised for text legibility and tonal consistency between the two scripts.
