Bungee specimen from David Jonathan Ross

A free display typeface by David Jonathan Ross built for vertical urban signage, with chromatic layering and OpenType vertical text support.

About

Drawn with straight sides on round and diagonal characters so letters stack cleanly edge to edge, Bungee translates the Latin alphabet into the vertical orientation of commercial street signage. It ships in four layerable styles, Regular, Inline, Outline and Shade, plus three OpenType colour font formats (OT-SVG, COLR/CPAL and SBIX) for chromatic typesetting without manual layering. Released under the SIL Open Font License with support from Google and The Font Bureau, it is also available on Google Fonts.

Classification

Bungee is a display typeface explicitly designed for vertical urban signage, with letterforms modified to stack legibly in vertical text. Its chromatic layering system and monowidth-leaning construction place it firmly in the display category.
