About
Adapted from Ross's Latin Fit, this Hebrew counterpart was drawn by Oded Ezer to reconcile Fit's rigid alternating curves-and-corners system with the squareness and directional logic of the Hebrew alphabet. Where the Latin mixes uppercase and lowercase to maximise space, Fit Hebrew alternates block and cursive forms to the same end, with individual letters capable of stretching to 3,600% of their base width. The result is a variable font with effectively infinite widths, built for titling and poster work where every millimetre of space is contested.
Classification
An extreme variable display typeface designed to fill any given space to its maximum width, mixing block and cursive Hebrew forms analogously to the Latin's uppercase and lowercase mixing. Its sole purpose is spatial saturation in titling and poster contexts.
