About
Designed to work alongside DJR's revival of Nebiolo's 1968 Forma, this Arabic family translates the Latin's defining details — rounded corners, slightly tapered stems — into solutions specific to Arabic letterforms, including contextual dot stacking, adjusted connecting strokes and angled vocalization marks for tight spacing. Five optical sizes run from Micro through to Banner, each calibrated for its intended setting, with spacing progressively relaxed as size decreases. The 25-style series includes a variable font spanning both weight and optical size axes, and each font contains Latin alongside Arabic.
Classification
A companion Arabic typeface to Forma DJR, itself a revival of Nebiolo's 1968 neo-grotesque. The Arabic inherits the Latin's rounded corners and tapered stems, placing it firmly in the neo-grotesque sans tradition adapted for Arabic script.
