Drawn by Ruggero Magrì with David Jonathan Ross, the typeface reworks the proportionally-spaced Forma DJR for a monospace grid, compensating for the inevitable distortion of narrow and wide letters without losing the ink-on-paper warmth Roger Black sought to preserve in the original revival. Eight weights from Hairline to Black ship with matching italics and unserifed alternates for f and r, plus a variable font, making 16 styles in total. Suited to tables, code snippets and brand-consistent contexts where the cold regularity of most monospace fonts would feel out of place.
Classification
A monospaced sans rooted in Nebiolo's 1968 Forma, itself a humanist geometric sans; the fixed-width grid is the defining structural feature, placing it firmly in the mono category while retaining the warm, slightly organic qualities of its proportional source.
