Input specimen from David Jonathan Ross

A 168-style type system built for programming, offering monospaced and proportional variants across sans and serif forms with an unusually wide range of widths and weights.

About

Designed specifically for code editors, Input addresses the practical demands of programming with easily distinguishable characters, large punctuation and generous letterspacing suited to dense onscreen text. The system spans three widths, seven weights and two styles per subfamily, with both monospaced and proportional cuts available in sans and serif forms, totalling 168 styles. Cyrillic support was developed in consultation with Russian type designer Maria Doreuli, giving the family broader script coverage than most coding fonts. Available as a free download for private use in code editors.

Classification

Input is a programming-focused type system offering both monospaced and proportional variants across sans and serif subfamilies, with the monospaced forms being its primary use case and core identity.
