About
Megazoid occupies the territory between the stroke-based legibility of Futura Extra Bold and the near-abstract geometry of Futura Black, leaning squarish rather than circular in its overall texture. DJR introduces asymmetrical trapezoids for A, V and Y in place of triangles, borrowing a move from Avant Garde to keep the design off-kilter rather than static. Five styles are included: Regular, Italic, Fill, Shade Left and Shade Right, the latter three designed for layering into drop-shade and inline effects in the tradition of Letraset and Photo-lettering catalogs.
