Designed by Chua Khai Xin under Death of Typography's Font Incubation Programme, the typeface translates the visual language of Singapore's Hainanese butter coffee tradition into letterforms. Sturdy slabs with softened edges and sharp-tipped curves create a tension between robustness and warmth, reflecting the contrast of bitter Robusta beans roasted with margarine and sugar. Available in a single commercial weight, it suits display and branding work where cultural specificity is an asset.
