Originally released as a dry-transfer rub-down type in 1969 under the name Astra, this revival by François Robert reconstructs the face's distinctive vertical overlapping grid structure with precision. The 993-glyph set covers 442 languages including Vietnamese, Greek and Cyrillic, and OpenType features include standard and discretionary ligatures, smart Roman numerals and stylistic alternates. Best suited to headlines, posters, book covers and drop caps where large scale lets the modular construction register.
