Cabazon
Delve Fonts · Jim Parkinson · 2005

An informal blackletter by Jim Parkinson, first released in 2005 and drawn from mid-20th century lettering artists including Rudolf Koch and Ross George.
About
Parkinson simplified classic blackletter forms to retain the warmth of hand-lettering while giving the face a looser, more casual character suited to logos, food and beverage packaging and movie posters. His decades of experience designing blackletter newspaper nameplates informed the design. Version 3.0 expanded the glyph set to over 1,000 glyphs covering 336 languages, with stylistic alternates, discretionary ligatures and a full suite of OpenType features.
Classification
Parkinson explicitly describes it as an informal blackletter, drawing on Rudolf Koch, Ross George and Samuel Welo for simplified, hand-lettered blackletter forms with a casual character.
