Designed by Delve Withrington from an abandoned custom project, Quara uses deliberate simplification of strokes at joins, a technique borrowed from early OCR type design, as both a functional and aesthetic device. The square-ish letterforms with lightly rounded terminals give it a clean, technology-inflected look suited to headlines, subheads and short passages. Coverage spans Basic Latin through Latin Extended-A with support for 152 languages.
