A ten-weight workhorse sans with extensive Latin language coverage and a variable font option, designed for everyday professional use.

About

Designed by Delve Withrington, Tome Sans runs from ExtraThin to Black with matching italics across 20 static styles plus a variable font with weight and slant axes. Over 860 glyphs cover 314 languages, and OpenType features include oldstyle and tabular figures, stylistic alternates, arrows and a full set of fractions. The Indigo Design Awards 2021 recognised it with a Silver award in Typography.

Classification

Described by the foundry as combining appealing, discreet forms with versatility across multiple contexts, placing it in the humanist sans tradition with an emphasis on approachability and legibility rather than geometric rigidity.
