On a mission to create the world's biggest index of typefaces from the world's best type foundries

sans-serifhumanist sans
Circulation Sans specimen from Department of Letters

A humanist sans rooted in Dutch text face traditions, optimised for long-form reading at small sizes with open apertures and a high x-height.

About

Drawing on classical Dutch typefaces and humanist mid-century design, it brings calligraphic detail to a rational, sober structure suited to editorial, academic and communications work. Open apertures and a generous x-height keep it legible at 6pt to 12pt, while the forms hold up well in headlines and display settings. The single-weight release covers 480 glyphs with support for over 200 Latin-script languages and a full suite of OpenType features including tabular old-style figures, fractions, contextual ligatures and case-responsive diacritics.
