Antique Spencerian

A hand-distressed Spencerian script in two styles, drawing on a 19th-century MacKellar, Smiths & Jordan original for formal and decorative use.
About
Two styles make up the family: a Standard cut suited to both text and display work, and an Ornamented Capitals variant with decorative flourishes for headlines, invitations and logos. Each glyph has been individually hand-distressed to produce an antique texture that reads as genuinely aged rather than digitally filtered. The combination of formal Spencerian structure with worn detailing makes it a practical choice for projects that need period character without resorting to generic Victorian pastiche.
Classification
Directly inspired by Spencerian script, a 19th-century copperplate-derived cursive tradition; the hand-distressed texture and ornamented capitals place it firmly in the decorative script category.
