Sheepman

A wood type display family derived from William Page's No.506, with rounded edges softening the original's hard polygonal construction.
About
Sheepman takes William Page's 19th-century No.506 as its starting point and trades angular polygonal forms for rounded edges, lending the letterforms a gentler character than their historical source. Three weights are included, each with a matching slanted style, and OpenType Stylistic Alternates and Swash features provide alternate glyphs for a selection of upper and lowercase characters. Best suited to poster headlines, titles and branding projects where a warm, vintage-inflected display face is needed.
Classification
Directly inspired by William Page's 19th-century wood type No.506, Sheepman belongs to the display category with a wood type subcategory, distinguished by its rounded softening of the original polygonal letterforms.
