Siro specimen from Dharma Type

A neutral, text-optimised sans-serif in seven weights with matching italics, built around a large x-height for compact and on-screen use.

About

Designed by Ryoichi Tsunekawa, Siro is built on a clean letterform skeleton aimed at conveying a natural, unobtrusive impression across print and digital contexts. Its very large x-height is the defining optical choice, improving legibility at small sizes and in tight layouts. The family covers Western, Central and South Eastern European languages as well as Afrikaans, and ships with a thorough OpenType feature set including fractions, superior and inferior figures, ordinals and case-sensitive forms.

Classification

Described as clean and neutral with a large x-height optimised for text legibility; the simple letterform skeleton and text focus align with humanist sans conventions rather than strict geometric or grotesque models.
