Space Colony
Dharma Type · 2011

A wide, rounded geometric display family in six weights, drawn with retro robot animation and sci-fi projects in mind.
About
Originally sketched with the side characters of 1980s mecha anime in mind, Space Colony was shelved before being finished in 2011 with its geometric shapes and rounded terminals intact. Six weights make it workable across games, film titles, logos and character merchandise where a futuristic flavour is needed. The soft, wide forms give it a dual character: capable of reading as boldly sci-fi or gently cartoonish depending on context.
Classification
A wide, rounded geometric display face with a retro-futurist character, designed explicitly for sci-fi themed projects, games and animation merchandise rather than text use.
