ABC Helveesti
Dinamo Typefaces · Dinamo (Fabian Harb, Robert Janes, Johannes Breyer, Fabiola Mejia) with Andree Paat · 2018

A digitisation of a Soviet-era Helvetica clone with phototype light traps, drawn from a 1970s Estonian children's book.
About
A neo-grotesque revival by Dinamo with Andree Paat, digitised from a Soviet-era Helvetica clone Fabian Harb found in a vintage Estonian children's book during a 2014 type class in Tallinn. The original light traps, spiked corners stemming outwards like mutated tails, were designed to compensate for blurring during phototypesetting, and the Spikes subfamily preserves them. Five weights from Regular to Black ship with matching italics across both Helveesti and Helveesti Spikes. Use it where you want Helvetica's voice with a folkloric, slightly mutant accent.
