About
The Camera Rounded family softens the distinctive hole-cut characters of the base Camera design, which drew on the light traps used to improve text legibility on low-resolution TV screens. Five weights with italics run across four subfamilies: the standard Rounded, a monospaced variant, and Plain versions of each that remove the holes entirely. Proportions sit narrower than Helvetica with less strictly defined geometry, and a variable font is included covering weight and slant axes.
Classification
A neutral grotesque with rounded terminals, described by Dinamo as similar in style to Helvetica but with freer proportions. The rounded variant softens the geometric rigour of the base Camera family, which was derived from television light traps.
