Diatype Extra expands the Diatype system into four tightly drawn subfamilies: Mono Compressed, Mono Condensed, Semi Mono Compressed and Semi Mono Condensed. Each runs across five weights from Thin to Bold with matching italics, and variable font versions are available. The parent typeface draws its character from pre-digital diatype typesetting machines and the Swiss Neo-grotesque tradition, giving these compressed cuts warmth alongside their technical precision.
