Drawn from a single spread in Harrild & Sons' circa-1890 wood-letter specimen book, Estragon was rebuilt for contemporary use across six weights with a variable axis. Three supplementary stylistic sets — Wildstyle, Arrow and Bubble — allow individual characters to be swapped and combined, giving the family an unusually modular expressive range. Sam de Groot's description of it as 'Schwitters-meets-Wildstyle', coined for its first use in the Condo New York identity, captures the tension between its historical origins and its graphic energy.
