Oracle specimen from Dinamo Typefaces

A two-family release from Dinamo pairing an elegant, contrast-rich sans across nine weights with Oracle Triple, an oddity that applies monospaced-style bounding box logic in units of thirds.

About

Oracle and Oracle Triple share an origin but diverge sharply in intention. The main family offers nine weights from Thin to Ultra with matching italics, smooth contours, subtle contrast and a wide range of alternates and stylistic sets for varied typographic expression. Oracle Triple takes the logic of monospaced letterforms to an extreme, dividing each character's bounding box into thirds and letting different glyphs occupy varying numbers of units, resulting in an idiosyncratic rhythmic cadence. Multiscript coverage extends to Greek and Cyrillic, with spacing and kerning handled by Igino Marini.

Classification

Oracle is described as an elegant sans serif with friendly, smooth contours and subtle contrast, placing it in the humanist sans tradition. Oracle Triple takes an experimental approach to monospaced rhythm but shares the same origins.
