Designed by Renan Rosatti at Dinamo, Solar offers eight weights with matching italics across two optical subfamilies: Solar for text and Solar Display for tight, punchy headlines. Its defining characteristic is a near-circular capital O, balanced against open counters and straight terminals in characters like c and s that introduce a sense of fluidity within the geometry. Eight stylistic sets reference typefaces including Johnston, Metro No. 2 and Erbar-Grotesque, allowing the typeface's character to shift considerably through OpenType alternates.
