Displaay Type Foundry · Kasper Pyndt Rasmussen · 2015

An engravers-style serif by Kasper Pyndt Rasmussen, loosely revived from Butti and Novarese's Augustea, with a steep 16 degree italic.
About
A serif by Kasper Pyndt Rasmussen, first sketched in 2015 and released through Displaay in late 2025. Seven weights run from Thin to Heavy with matching italics, fourteen styles total, with a one-axis variable cut on Weight. The uprights pair carved geometry with transitional traits, and the italic leans at 16 degrees with broad-nib flourishes. Triangular punctuation and an enclosed figure 2 from Augustea surface as stylistic sets.
Classification
Displaay class it under serif / antique. Loosely related to Alessandro Butti and Aldo Novarese's Augustea (Fonderia Nebiolo, 1951), an engravers-style typeface based on Roman capitals. Notable for triangular punctuation and an enclosed figure 2, surfaced as alternate stylistic sets.
