On a mission to create the world's biggest index of typefaces from the world's best type foundries

sans-serifgrotesquecondenseditalic
Bagoss specimen from Displaay Type Foundry

A grotesque sans in three width families — Condensed, Standard and Extended — spanning six weights each, with a three-axis variable font covering weight, slant and width.

About

Thirty-six static styles across Condensed, Standard and Extended families give the collection considerable range for layout work requiring consistent type across different measures. Each family runs from Thin to Bold with matching italics, and the accompanying variable font exposes weight, slant and width axes for finer control. The name references Bagòss, a saffron-tinged grana cheese from Bagolino in Lombardy, lending the collection a deliberate regional character without spelling it out in the letterforms.

Classification

Bagoss presents as a contemporary grotesque sans-serif available across three width variants; its clean, upright forms and range of weights place it squarely in the grotesque tradition without overt humanist or geometric tendencies.
