sans-serifuni-width interface sansitalic
Booton specimen from Displaay Type Foundry

A uni-width sans by Daniel Quisek that keeps glyph widths constant across weights, built for buttons and screen UI.

About

A sans by Daniel Quisek first sketched August 2021 and released September 2024. Eight weights run from Thin to Black with matching italics, sixteen styles total, plus a two-axis variable cut on Weight and Slant. Glyph widths stay constant across weights so button rows and hover states do not shift. High x-height, ink traps and tapered stem joins support readability on screen, with hard-edge inner corners and open upper terminals giving it a modern feel.

Classification

Displaay class Booton under sans / grotesque. The signature feature is a uni-width construction that holds glyph widths constant across weights and styles, designed for stable button layouts and hover states. High x-height with ink traps and tapered stem connections.
