Fellix specimen from Displaay Type Foundry

A geometric mono-linear sans by Martin Vacha in the #ellix family, with circle forms attached gracefully to stems and diagonal terminals.

About

A geometric sans by Martin Vacha first sketched October 2011 and released August 2015. Eight weights run from Thin to Black with matching italics, sixteen styles total, plus a two-axis variable cut on Weight and Slant. In Fellix, circle forms connect gracefully onto vertical stems and terminals are diagonal, distinguishing it from sibling cuts Hellix, Gellix and Yellix. Stylistic alternates lean into stricter, colder forms.

Classification

Displaay class Fellix under sans / grotesque. Mono-linear geometric sans in the foundry's #ellix system, alongside Hellix, Gellix and Yellix. Circular forms are connected gracefully onto vertical stems with diagonal terminals. Inspired by Renner's Futura sketches, Drescher Grotesk, Super Grotesk and Johnston.
