Displaay Type Foundry · Martin Vacha · 2023

A sans-serif grotesque by Martin Vacha with circular forms, tight diagonal terminals and an elevated x-height for compact text settings.
About
A grotesque sans-serif by Martin Vacha released in January 2023, with first sketches dating from October 2018. Seven weights run from Thin to Heavy with matching italics, fourteen styles total, plus a variable cut on Slant and Weight axes. Glyphs are built on geometrically circular forms with diagonal, tight terminals, reduced thickness at stem connections and low contrast elsewhere. Short ascenders and descenders compact the line, and inktraps and other small details show up at smaller sizes.
