Displaay Type Foundry · Marek Suchanek, Kristina Jandova, Martin Vacha · 2020

A modular display face by Marek Suchanek, Kristina Jandova and Martin Vacha drawn on a 7 by 5 grid, with caps and lowercase at the same height.
About
A modular display face released in March 2020, first sketched in November 2019, designed by Marek Suchanek, Kristina Jandova and Martin Vacha. The typeface is mainly based on a 7 by 5 grid, with uppercases and lowercases sharing the same height. Two styles plus a variable Slant axis cover an upright and a slanted cut. Thin lines run against the heavier stems in some glyphs and diacritics, reinforcing a future, sci-fi, technology and modularity register that suits wordmarks and identity work.
Classification
Displaay describes Ofform as built mainly on a 7 by 5 grid, with uppercase and lowercase set to the same height. The design references future, sci-fi, technology and modularity, with thin lines pushing against the stem thickness in some glyphs and diacritics.
