Displaay Type Foundry · Marek Suchánek, Kristína Jandová, Martin Vácha · 2020

A modular display typeface built on a 7×5 grid, originating from lettering inspired by folded textile fabric for a 3D fashion brand.
About
Designed by Marek Suchánek, Kristína Jandová and Martin Vácha and first sketched in November 2019, the typeface uses a strict 7×5 grid with equal uppercase and lowercase heights, punctuated by thin contrast strokes in select glyphs and diacritics. The family spans just two styles, Regular and Italic, supported by eight stylistic sets and a variable slant axis. Its visual language is oriented towards sci-fi, technology and cyberpunk contexts.
Classification
A grid-based modular typeface built on a 7×5 grid with uniform cap and x-heights, designed for sci-fi and futuristic applications. Its geometric, constructed letterforms place it firmly in the display category with a modular subcategory.
