Rooted in the hand-lettered signs found on Italian streets, Margherita fuses slab serif construction with art deco character and optional art nouveau flourishes via OpenType alternates. Five weights from Light to Black give adequate typographic range, and the character set covers over 200 languages across Europe, the Americas, Africa and Vietnam. Released as an open source project, with fonts and source files freely available on GitHub.
