Designed by Lewis McGuffie with Fred Wiltshire contributing the Mono and Mathieu Verhoeven contributing astrological and planetary symbols, Marble spans 61 styles across six sub-families. Its four optical sizes move from grand display uppercase to modest caption text, taking cues from draughtsmen's guides for inscriptional lettering and ancient Roman handwriting samples. The Grafito style extends the family into informal territory, and coverage runs across Latin and Greek scripts.
