About
Designed by Lewis McGuffie, Stndrd takes its cue from the analytic and systematic principles of engineering draughtsmanship, particularly the hand-drawn lettering found on plans, schemes and technical documents. The family is split into three subfamilies: Pro Text and Pro Mono for extended typesetting with regular, italic, bold and bold italic, and Pro Display for short-form use in logos, marks and subheadings. Despite its rigorous structural logic, the family retains the softness of its hand-drawn origins, making it well suited to footnotes, diagrams, tags and technical annotation work.
