Drawing on the shared Franco-Spanish territory of Pheasant Island as its conceptual anchor, the design departs from the strict conventions of either calligraphic tradition to find something more angular and personal. Crisp corners and sharp angles give it a strong rhythm at large sizes, while a range of alternates and swashes add variety and movement. It works best in editorial headlines and expressive display settings where its calligraphic energy has room to breathe.
