Designed by János Hunor Vári and released in 2022, Krimi draws on lettering from a Cinémathèque Suisse archive poster made by Affiches Atar Genève for the 1935 film 'Le Criminel Inconnu'. Its condensed proportions and tall x-height allow for tight, characterful typesetting at display sizes, while distinctive out-strokes give the impression of a brush-painted hand. An extended range of diacritical marks broadens its usability across European languages.
