F37 Incise
F37 Foundry · Rick Banks

An eight-weight incised sans that nods to the Benton pantograph and precision drawing instruments.
About
An incised sans by Rick Banks, drawn with the heritage of precision engineering in mind and pointing to Linn Boyd Benton, inventor of the pantograph that shaped much of twentieth-century type. Eight upright weights run from Thin to Black, with an Arabic companion extending the system. The flared, gently chiselled terminals sit between a humanist sans and a glyphic, useful for cultural identity, editorial design, watchmaking, premium spirits and any brand that wants quiet authority.
Classification
F37 reference Linn Boyd Benton, the inventor of the pantograph, and frame Incise around precision engineering and drawing instruments. The drawing carries flared, gently incised terminals, sitting between a humanist sans and a glyphic.
