Sprig specimen from Faire Type

A contemporary serif family by Sabrina Nacmias, loosely reviving Cheltenham but updated toward geometric proportions, with a matching sans and monospaced companion.

About

Sprig retains key details from Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue's Cheltenham, including the open-counter g and round teardrop terminals, while updated proportions make it more legible at text sizes. Eight weights from Hairline to Super run across all three subfamilies, allowing Sprig, Sprig Sans and Sprig Sans Mono to be mixed freely without visual discord. OpenType features include swash caps, ligatures and alternate glyphs, broadening its range for editorial and identity applications.

Classification

Sprig draws from Cheltenham's old-style and transitional roots but updates proportions toward a more geometric, contemporary serif; the companion sans and mono subfamilies extend the collection beyond pure serif territory.
