Designed by Briton Smith and first released in 2017, Modern Era is a clean geometric sans available in 12 proportional styles and a four-style monospaced companion family. Version 2.0.0, issued in 2026, brings revised italics and a broad language support list covering Latin Extended, Greek and Coptic scripts across well over 100 languages. OpenType features include six stylistic sets, fractions, ordinals, tabular figures and a slashed zero, giving the family enough flexibility for editorial, interface and branding work.
