FDI Reklameschrift specimen from FDI Type Foundry

A digitisation of the 1908 Ludwig & Mayer advertising face Reklameschrift Bombe, offered in two variants balancing historical fidelity against modern legibility.

About

Originally produced at the German type foundry Ludwig & Mayer in 1908, Reklameschrift Bombe was an advertising display face mixing roman and blackletter letterforms. FDI Type's digitisation preserves that hybrid character in Version A, while Version B substitutes the blackletter-style glyphs for more legible alternatives suited to contemporary use. Both versions cover Western, Eastern and Central European Latin through extended OpenType glyph sets.

Classification

A digitisation of a 1908 letterpress advertising face with hybrid characteristics, combining display roman structures with blackletter-style letterforms in one variant; classified as display due to its historical advertising origins and limited use cases.
