FDI Wiking
FDI Type Foundry · Heinz König, Ralf Herrmann · 2020

A free revival of Heinz König's 1925 blackletter Wiking, carefully redigitised by Ralf Herrmann with around 400 glyphs covering Western, Eastern and Central European Latin.
About
Originally issued by J. D. Trennert & Sohn in Hamburg in 1925, Wiking was digitised directly from an original letterpress print for this release. The single style carries around 400 glyphs and includes stylistic alternates that allow both traditional German blackletter conventions and more legible international typesetting. Funded through Kickstarter and distributed under the Open Font License.
Classification
