A careful revival of Heinrich Laudahn's 1913 Laudahn-Kanzlei chancery blackletter, issued in two versions: one faithful to the original and one with romanised letterforms for broader legibility.
About
Based on scans of original letterpress type from Bauer's 1913 release, FDI Wunder preserves the calligraphic character of the Kanzlei style while making it usable in modern OpenType environments. Version A keeps close to the historical source for traditional German blackletter setting; Version B substitutes romanised letterforms to ease reading for audiences unfamiliar with the script. Both versions include contextual swash characters that activate automatically at word boundaries and an experimental title-case feature that introduces a dancing baseline.
