A humanist sans with seven text weights and three display cuts, developed over five years by Georg Seifert with over 1,000 glyphs per style.

About

Designed by Georg Seifert and released in 2008 after five years of development, Graublau Sans Pro offers seven text weights plus three additional display weights, each with italics that depart from the neutral upright forms and draw on handwriting. The family includes true small caps, old-style and lining figures in both proportional and tabular variants, swash and titling alternates, and discretionary ligatures. Script coverage spans Latin Extended, Basic Cyrillic and Basic Greek, making it a capable choice for corporate design, annual reports and multilingual editorial work.

Classification

The upright styles are clean and neutral in character, while the italics draw on handwriting forms, a combination typical of humanist sans design. The extensive OpenType feature set and broad weight range place it firmly in the text and corporate humanist tradition.
