Rooted in late 19th-century French type from the Fonderie Gustave Mayeur, this sans-serif avoids both the clinical finish of contemporary neo-grotesques and the self-conscious quirkiness of strict revivals. Only a minute modulation of stroke contrast separates it from its flattest peers. The 2022 version 2.0 expanded the family to 49 styles across four widths, from a standard cut with 11 weights and italics down to Condensed and X Condensed versions with 8 weights each.
