Bikini specimen from Flood Fonts

A geometric display script by Felix Braden built on circles and arcs, with swashes, Roman capitals, two lowercase alternates per letter and over 60 ligatures.

About

Designed by Felix Braden and originally distributed via Volcanotype, Bikini uses a strict grid of circles and arcs as its underlying structure yet projects a loose, carefree character through expressive letterforms and extravagant details. The font ships with standard ligatures, nearly 50 discretionary ligatures, stylistic alternates for every letter and Roman capital swashes, giving designers considerable room to vary word-level compositions. Aimed at logotypes, magazine headlines and short display texts where a psychedelic or retro-leisure tone is wanted.

Classification

Bikini is a display script built on a matrix of circles and arcs, giving it a constructivist-geometric structure despite its fluid, handwritten appearance. Its expressive swashes, alternates and ligatures place it firmly in the display script category.
