Gwen
Fontfabric · Pavel Pavlov, Plamen Motev · 2022

A high-contrast display serif from Fontfabric with separate Display and Text subfamilies, offered as a variable font covering seven weights.
About
Designed by Pavel Pavlov and Plamen Motev, Gwen splits into two optical subfamilies: Display, intended for headlines and posters, and Text, tuned for smaller body sizes. The family spans seven weights from Light to Black across both subfamilies, with a variable font also available. Extended Latin and Cyrillic coverage, alongside OpenType features including ligatures, stylistic alternates and old-style figures, make it serviceable for editorial and multilingual publishing work.
Classification
Gwen is a high-contrast serif with two optical subfamilies — Display and Text — designed explicitly for editorial and headline use, placing it clearly in the display serif tradition with transitional influences visible in its stroke contrast.
