Designed by Indian Type Foundry and released via Fontshare in March 2021, Alpino is a humanist sans built around a small x-height with wide capitals that sit comfortably alongside generous ascenders and descenders. Proportional oldstyle figures and subtly rounded stroke corners give it warmth, while distinctive details — a bearded capital G without a crossbar, a double-storey g with a flamboyant ear, and a curved y tail — lend it some personality without being loud. Available in six static weights from Thin to Black plus a variable font, with coverage across 135 languages.
