A six-style dot-matrix display family from Indian Type Foundry, with letterforms constructed entirely from dots on a regular grid.
About
Each letterform in Array is built on a strict dot grid, with capitals sitting 10 dots tall and lowercase letters scaled proportionally. Weight variation is achieved by widening the stems rather than changing dot size, running from two dots wide in Regular to four in Bold. A Wide variant adds lateral spacing to each weight, making six styles in total, suited to posters, signage and experimental editorial work at large sizes.
Classification
Array mimics electronic dot-matrix displays, with letterforms built entirely from dots on a grid. Fontshare categorises it as Display, and its construction is too stylised and novelty-driven to sit in any standard sans-serif subcategory.
