Designed by Jean-Baptiste Morizot and released through Fontshare in 2021, Kola applies a stencil treatment to a condensed sans structure, with rounded terminals and large counterforms that remain legible at scale. The x-height is tall, with ascenders reaching cap height, and the diacritics extend conspicuously above both — a considered choice for multilingual display use across 135 languages. Stencil bridges are placed dynamically on letterforms such as the 'K', 'j' and 'r', giving the face a degree of personality within an otherwise restrained, near-geometric skeleton.
