Pencerio
Fontshare · Manushi Parikh · 2021

A monolinear formal script by Manushi Parikh, adapting Spencerian penmanship into a single hairline weight with ornate capitals and a large x-height.
About
Rather than reproducing the characteristic thick-thin contrast of traditional Spencerian scripts, this face strips the letterforms back to thin, monolinear strokes throughout — preserving the slope and ornamental loops of the historical model without the pressure-driven shading. Capital letters carry multiple loops, swells and swirls, with several featuring long descending swash elements that shape strong word silhouettes. A character set of 675 glyphs includes a substantial bank of alternates and ligatures accessible via standard OpenType features, making it suited to calling cards, invitations and certificates.
Classification
Pencerio is a monolinear formal script based on Spencerian penmanship, with hairline strokes and no contrast — placing it firmly in the script category as a formal, calligraphic script.
